The Event: The Big Red Management & Austin Reed party
The Venue: Austin Reed, Piccadilly Circus, London
The VIPs: Captain of the England Rugby squad Lewis Moody attended with his teammates. Check Zoe with Lewis above. Also present were the Worcester Warriors players including Chris Pennell and Rob Hignett.
Food/Drinks: On arrival we were handed flutes of champagne garnished with a strawberry. We like to think we got our daily intake of fruits from this! But for the non-bubbly drinker, cocktails, red or white wine, Budweiser beer and Kopparberg cider were an option too.
The canapés included a British theme offering mini bowls of fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie and unusually chicken ceaser salad.
The Gossip:
1) Lewis Moody donned an Austin Reed bespoke suit apologising for not ironing his shirt yesterday. It's OK Lewis, but the captain still had a good time tweeting "Awesome night @austin_reed great company. @benfoden was struggling on the mike though!! I was sweating in my whistle."
2) Mr Moody relieved his frustration for the British public not celebrating the 6 nations for the first time after 8 years telling us "any other team that wins gets an open top bus tour, medals, the works and yet it got overshadowed because of the Ireland match. It’s such a shame."
3) Una Healy’s chunky boyfriend, Ben Foden attended the athletic affair who jumped on stage with Mr Moody to answer a few questions the audience had. Check the boys being quizzed below
4) The Worcester Warriors gave us an insight to their diet revealing that they intake a mass of supplements to maintain their physique. Party Squad’s Amar was given the tip of the day to buy Cybex protein powder to get that burly build.
5) The event treated us to live music getting us in the mood to groove at the Movida after-party. Unfortunately the sports stars didn’t drink too much as they had training the next day. Impressive work ethic guys!
