Stacey Dash (born January 20, 1966, The Bronx, New York) is an American film and television actress of African American and Aztec descent.

In this movie she played a 17-year old girl despite the fact that she was really almost 30 years old. That was her big break which transformed her career, promoting her into lead acting roles in movies like View from the Top and Gang Of Roses.

In 1996 the film spawned a television spinoff, also called Clueless, in which Dash reprised her role as Dionne and in which Rachel Blanchard played Cher. The series ran from 1996-1999.
Dash's first major film role was in the Richard Pryor comedy Moving in 1988. She also had sizeable roles in Mo' Money and Renaissance Man during this time. In 1995, Dash starred as a femme fatale in a low budget film, Illegal in Blue.
Stacey was married to Brian Lovell in 1999. They have one child together: Lola (born 2003). Stacey also has a son, Austin (born 1991). Stacey Dash divorced Brian Lovell in 2006 after 7 years of marriage.
